Van Accident Leads to Fatality in North Carolina

In North Carolina, a man from Harrisonburg was killed during a major auto accident on Wednesday morning.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Dennis Knupp died after the van he was riding in crashed on Highway 117.  The accident occurred in the town of Calypso.

Following the accident, police reported that Knupp's wife (Heather) was in critical condition.  Their three children and in-laws had to be taken to a local hospital for treatment.

News sources say that the driver of the van was Knupp's father-in-law.  He allegedly drove through a stop sign and failed to yield at a traffic light that was flashing red.  He then crashed into a hog truck.

After people have sustained injuries during auto accidents and they believe negligence was involved, they should seek immediate medical treatment and then discuss their cases with a personal injury attorney who can provide a thorough evaluation and reliable legal advice.
