Police Ask for Owner of Dog to Come Forward

In the city of Appleton, local police officers are asking residents to help them find the owner of a dog that bit a child outside of Edna Ferber Elementary School.  They would like the owner of the dog to come forward to verify whether the animal has had its rabies vaccination.

At this time, they are waiting to receive this information in order to determine if the four-year-old dog bite victim may need additional medical treatment.

Police say that numerous children were petting a dog outside of the school on Thursday afternoon when the incident occurred. The dog was on a leash when it bit a little girl.

The dog is described as being brown and may be a Pitbull.

If you have been the victim of a serious dog bite, consult with a personal injury attorney that can advise you of your rights as well as your legal options.
