Icy Roads to Blame for Auto Accident

Icy roads could be to blame for the death of a 5-year-old boy in Bridgewater Township on Sunday. Officers with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department reported that a van lost control on the icy street of Michigan Avenue at Lima Center Road, outside of Clinton. It veered unintentionally into oncoming traffic and collided with a Ford F-150.

The boy was killed instantly in the crash and the two of his family members, a man and a 23-year-old girl, are now in critical condition at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.  The driver of the Ford F-150 was reported to have sustained only minor injuries.

At this time authorities have ruled out any connections to drugs or alcohol being an influencing factor in this crash, and believe it to solely be due to bad weather conditions. The family had been driving from Topeka, Kansas.

If someone close to you has become involved in an auto accident, there is no time to waste in calling a personal injury lawyer now to get the legal help you need.
