Motorcylist Crashes into Tractor and Dies

In Carrollton, Illinois, it is reported that a man from Eldred was killed after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a farm tractor on Thursday.

According to the Illinois State police, the motorcycle accident occurred on Illinois 108, which is west of Carrollton.  Police say that the motorcyclist tried to pass the tractor which resulted in the collision.  At the time of the accident, the driver of the farm tractor was towing a mower and attempting to make a left turn.

As the motorcyclist tried to pass the driver of the tractor, he clipped the front wheel of the tractor and was immediately thrown from his motorcycle.  At this time, police are not releasing the name of the motorcycle rider pending the notification of relatives.
