Florida Mother Filing Lawsuit after Fatal School Bus Accident

In Marion County, Florida, a mother is filing a personal injury lawsuit after pulling her two young children from a burning school bus.

Last month, a school bus caught fire after it was involved in a crash with a tractor trailer.  The accident proved fatal as a 13 year old named Frances Schee died.

Recently, Rhonda Arbuckle decided to take legal action and sue the tractor trailer driver, Reinaldo Andujar-Gonzalez.  Arbuckle is suing the driver for negligence.

Investigators presiding over the case report that Gonzalez was not speeding at the time of the accident.  However, they report that the man was on his cell phone when he collided with the school bus.  They report that Gonzalez did not see the stopped school bus, so he did not hit his brakes.

At the time of the accident, Arbuckle's three children were on the school bus.  Gonzalez's truck is reported to have crashed into the back of the bus, which cause both his truck and the bus to explode into flames.

Arbuckle was able to remove her three small children from the bus.  She also tried to save the deceased victim, Frances, Schee, but was not able to due to the explosion.

The mother is seeking monetary compensation for her three children and for herself.
