City Department Head Facing Sexual Harassment Allegations in Tennessee

In the city of Chattanooga, an administrative assistant is bringing sexual harassment charges against her boss.  The woman is alleging that her boss, who is a Director at the office of General Services for the City of Chattanooga, sexually harassed her for a period of two years.

Jennifer Baggett filed a complaint about her boss, Paul Page.  In her complaint, Baggett lists details of the harassment she incurred while at work.  She says that sexually charged conversations began in Fall of 2006.  During the conversations, Mr. Page is alleged to have made comments about a short skirt Baggett was wearing and also about the breast sizes of other women.

In Winter of 2007, Baggett said that her boss bragged about asking women to put on lipstick and to kiss his office windows.  Baggett also alleges that her boss told her repeatedly that he would have to put "sideboards on her chair or the department vehicle because she gained so much weight."  Page is also alleged to have told Baggett after she walked into his office that he would have to "stay seated at his desk and couldn't get up because it was the best blouse he had ever seen."

Baggett also claims that Paul Page went into graphic detail about a "sex buddy" of his and would continually give descriptions of his personal encounters.

At this time, Mr. Page is refusing to comment on the accusations.  The city of Chattanooga issued a statement after the claim was failed that called the sexual harassment claim unsubstantiated and also said that an investigation is ongoing.

Both Page and Baggett remained employed by the city.
